The anticipated Edo governorship election begins peacefully with impressive voters’ turnout in most wards across the state. The old and the young trooped out in their numbers to make their choice, however, the social distancing order is not being adhered to in some polling units.
The security presence in each local government so far, as being impressive although yhere is ongoing violence at polling unit 019, Ward 4, Oredo LGA, just as the governor and candidate, Obaseki, arrived to cast his vote. Former governor, Adams Oshiomhole joined the queue after arriving to cast his vote at PU 001, Uzarue North East ward 10, Etsako West LGA.
At PU 02, ward 4, Owan east LGA, there are reports of the result sheet missing even though it has already been signed. The situation has caused apprehension among the voters on ground.
