Staffs Plan To Shut Down Rivers State Assembly Over 4 Years Unpaid Allowance

The National body of PASAN, Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, has threatened to shut down the activities of the River State House of Assembly over for denying their staffs of their allowance dating back to 2013.

Comrade Mohammed Usman, the National President of PASAN, has given the Rivers State government 14 days to pay the staffs’ entitlement or they will be forced to restrict movement and activities in the House.

In his words;

“It is so unfortunate that an office of such magnitude that staff are being denied of their right, the national would not take it, we will fight this thing to see that they are addressed

“The national body of PASAN will write the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly and if nothing is done after the ultimatum, believe me you that the national would move to Rivers State just like the whole Labour moved here and we will shut down the house.” he said.
