Obasanjo Farms launch promotion materials for face of Agric reality TV show

Kairos Events and Entertainment in collaboration with Obasanjo Farms Limited has said that it had launched promotional materials for the Face of Agriculture Nigeria (FOAN) Agritainment reality TV show on Sunday.

Mr Wealth Sunday, Project Director, disclosed this in a statement made available to the Newsmen in Lagos.

Wealth said that the launching took place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta , Ogun State.

He said that FOAN reality show was a TV program which aims at bringing the interest of the Nigerian youths towards agriculture using the means of entertainment.

“That is bringing agriculture and entertainment together.

“A reality show would be held and using that means, housemates would undergo various forms of agricultural training.

“Lectures would be held, practice sessions and games would be done” Wealth said.

He explained that by reality show, FOAN mean hosting a live program for people, families to know about agriculture.

He said that the reality show was a family show that could be watched by any age.

“This is because, the interest has to start from the root, that is, the children, and therefore it would be better if these children can learn a little about agriculture from the foundation level” he said.

Wealth said that FOAN was using entertainment in the sense that games would be held and tasks would be given to make the show lively.

He said that the show would be held for three months with a total of 48 housemates.

Wealth said that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was present at the official launch of the promotional materials and stated the objectives of the program as follows.

“To make a positive change in the agricultural sector in Nigeria.

“To reduce the rate of unemployment and poverty.

“To help in diversifying the Nigerian economy and to get the attention and interest of the Nigerian youths drawn to agriculture” he said.

NAN had earlier reported in August that the group in collaboration with Obasanjo Farms had said that everything was set to stage the reality TV show.
