FG Appeals To Resident Doctors On Strike

National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) who embarked on a warning strike have been urged by the federal government to put a hold on the action.

Sen. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment said this in a statement signed by Mr Charles Akpan, Deputy Director, Head, Press, and Public Relations in Abuja, he stated that the association had no reason to embark on the strike as the government has addressed six of the eight demands of the association.
He said a meeting will be set up between NARD and Federal Ministries of Health, and Finance, Budget, and National Planning on Wednesday at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to avert the ongoing strike
