Dr Olufemi Adeogun, Chief Medical Director and Two medical staff of Idoani in Ondo State, who was abducted on Monday, has regained their freedom.
A spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, 32 Artillery Brigade Akure, Ayorinde Omojokun, confirmed the release of the victims, he said the medical doctor and other victims were rescued around 10pm at Ipele leading to the Idoani area of the state.
A family member of one of the victims, who asked not to be named, said the details of their release was still sketchy.
“They have been released but I am yet to set my eyes on my brother. I learnt they are moving them to Akure soon,” he said.
