Jubilation in Akure as Court Orders Reinstatement Of Suspended Ondo Lawmakers

The reinstatement of four suspended members of the State House of Assembly has been immediately ordered by an Ondo State High Court amidst jubilation among members of the opposition parties in the state, mostly the People’s Democratic Party and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

Justice Ademola Bola, in his judgement, described the suspension as illegal and ordered the House to reinstate the lawmakers with immediate effect.

The lawmakers were allegedly suspended for their refusal to sign the impeachment notice of the Deputy Governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi

They include the Deputy Speaker, Mr Ogundeji Iroju; Mrs. Favour Tomomowo; Mr Wale Williams; and Tomide Akinribido.

According to our correspondent in Akure, tThe party members were seen in some parts of Akure, the state capital jubilating over the development.
