Senator Abiodun Olujimi Adopts All Children Of Murdered Ekiti Assembly Lawmaker

Senate Minority Leader, ‘Biodun Olujimi has described the killing of Hon. Michael Adedeji, the lawmaker representing Ekiti South West constituency II in the Ekiti State House of Assembly as callous and barbaric.

Sen. Olujimi made the statement on Wednesday Morning at Ogotun Ekiti, during her condolence visit to the country home of the deceased where she sympathized with the family members of the deceased and the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Samuel Oyebade.

Senator Biodun Olujimi who currently represents Ekiti South Senatorial District described the deceased as intelligent, focus, vibrant, committed and easy going young man whose lifestyle was worthy of emulation and therefore called on the security agencies to expedite action to fish out the culprits and ensure justice takes its course.

She promised to ensure that Adedeji popularly known as ‘Cherry’ is immortalized, promising to formally adopt his children so that their education does not suffer a blow.

TheElite Times reports that Adedeji was shot in the head on Friday 26th of October 2018 along Akure-Ado Ekiti Highway by some yet to be identified gunmen and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Ido Ekiti where he finally gave up the ghost in the early hour of Monday 29th of October 2018.

His remains will be laid to rest on Friday 2nd November, 2018 at his country home after a parliamentary section in his honour at Ekiti State House of Assembly Complex.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that the youths and students in the constituency will hold a candle night possession today in his Ogotun country home.
