Nigerian army troops of the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven have arrested at least 70 suspects in connection to the recent violence in Plateau State.
The suspects were paraded at the headquarters of the Operation Safe Haven in the state capital on Thursday by the commander of the task force, Major General Augustine Agundu.
He explained that the suspects were arrested for various offences at different parts of the city where there was violence.
According to Agundu, some of them were caught with locally fabricated firearms and other dangerous weapons.
