Ekiti: Fayemi Retires Perm Sec Over ‘Fayose’s Last Minute Employment

…Governor on vendetta mission – PDP

The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has approved the immediate retirement of the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training in the state’s civil service, Olusesan Alabi.

This was contained in a statement on
Monday by Fayemi’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.

The statement directed Alabi to hand over to the most senior officer in the office.

Alabi was given compulsory retirement over the release of employment letters to those the immediate past Administration of former Governor Ayo Fayose directed should be employed.

As at Monday, Alabi still issued letters of employment to some of the candidates interviewed for employment in the closing days of the Fayose Administration.

Fayemi had after his inauguration on
Tuesday met with the leadership of the Ekiti State Civil Service on Wednesday, where he warned against further recruitment.

“Even on monday, he still issued letters, leading to his immediate retirement.”, Fayemi said.

But PDP in Ekiti described the sack of Mr
Alabi as vendetta taken too far Against a civil servant obeying the instructions of his boss.

In a statement by the PDP publicity secretary in the state, Jackson Adebayo, the party said Fayemi is a Man known for vendetta like Muhammad Buhari therefore, whatever he’s doing now is a continuation of where he stopped in October 2014.
